About the Board

Serve Wisconsin consists of 21 members. Sixteen voting members are appointed to three-year terms by the Governor of Wisconsin; four members are non-voting, ex-officio members from state agencies; one member is ex-officio from the Corporation for National and Community Service - Wisconsin State Office.

Serve Wisconsin has two standing committees: Executive and Program Evaluation and Development.

Mission: The mission of the WNCSB is to promote, train, and allocate resources to programs that enrich lives and communities through service and volunteerism.

Christine Beatty is the Director of the Madison (WI) Senior Center. She has worked in non-profit organizations, delivering senior services since 1977. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of the Aging Network’s Volunteer Collaborative (Washington, DC) and trains community leaders to mobilize the talents and skills of older adults.

Tony Hallman was appointed to the WNCSB in 2005.  He served on the Oneida County Economic Development Commission as well as with the Wisconsin Conservation Corps, supervising teams of youth in the Nicolet-Chequamegon National Forest.
