October 5, 2023 – Public Notice: Applicants responding to the Serve Wisconsin AmeriCorps Competitive Request for Proposals must submit their application in eGrants, and submit required Additional Documents via email, as applicable.
A previous public notice on this page announced that applicants would be required to submit their application materials in Word and Excel templates in response to the Serve Wisconsin Competitive Request for Proposals. However, Serve Wisconsin now requires that applications be submitted in eGrants.
The deadline for submitting an application in response to the Serve Wisconsin Competitive Request for Proposals has been changed to Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 4:30pm.
The deadline for submitting questions about the Serve Wisconsin Competitive Request for Proposals has been changed to Monday, October 9, 2023 at 12:00 midnight. All questions must be sent via email to ServeWisconsin@Wisconsin.gov.
The above notice does not apply to applications in response to the Public Health AmeriCorps Request for Proposals. Those applications must be submitted by the original due date of Tuesday, October 10, 2023.
AmeriCorps Competitive Program (Operational) Grantee organizations initiate, improve, or expand the ability of an organization and community to provide services to address local unmet environmental, educational, public safety (including disaster preparedness and response), or other human needs.
AmeriCorps members serving in programs funded by Competitive Program Grants engage in:
direct service activities that meet local needs or
capacity-building activities that improve the organizational and financial capability of nonprofit organizations and communities to meet local needs by achieving greater organizational efficiency and effectiveness, greater impact and quality of impact, stronger likelihood of successful replicability, or expanded scale.
AmeriCorps State Competitive Program Grants are awarded to fund a portion of program costs and AmeriCorps members’ living allowance. Serve Wisconsin approves applications for submission to AmeriCorps, who determines which applicants are awarded Competitive Program Grants in Wisconsin.
The Request for Proposals for Competitive Program Grants is NOT currently accepting applications. Email the RFP Manager at ServeWisconsin@Wisconsin.gov with any questions.

Technical Assistance
Serve Wisconsin provides access to training and technical assistance for applicants.
On3Learn
On3Learn provides online workshops for applicants that are new to AmeriCorps grants.
To access On3Learn online workshops at no cost, please contact the Serve Wisconsin RFP Manager at ServeWisconsin@Wisconsin.gov for a coupon code as soon as possible.
Please do not enter a credit card number when selecting an On3Learn online workshop. Instead, contact ServeWisconsin@Wisconsin.gov for a coupon code that will allow you to complete as many online workshops as you would like at no cost.
Questions and answers
All questions regarding the RFP must be submitted in writing via email by October 9, 2023 to the RFP Manager at ServeWisconsin@Wisconsin.gov. Questions for Serve Wisconsin via telephone will not be accepted. Questions asked between August 29, 2023 and October 9, 2023 and their answers will be collected in one document, updated regularly and posted here. The final version of the Q&A document will be posted on October 10, 2023.

TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FROM WISCONSIN EVALUATION COLLABORATIVE (WEC)
Serve Wisconsin, with support from AmeriCorps, is providing each AmeriCorps program applicant a limited number of free one-on-one consultation hours with evaluators from the Wisconsin Evaluation Collaborative (WEC) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The evaluators at WEC would be great resources for programs with needs with logic models, evaluation plans, reports, evidence, performance measures, and more.
