Governor’s Service Awards

The Governor’s Service Awards honor outstanding volunteers, national service participants, and programs that have helped to address serious social needs in their communities. These honorees have made  significant contributions to Wisconsin through their service efforts. Their generous service is impacting the lives of countless Wisconsinites.

Governor Tony Evers recognized thirteen outstanding honorees at the 2019 Governor’s Service Awards ceremony for their service to Wisconsin citizens and communities in need on June 6, 2019 at the Monona Terrace in Madison. This year’s honorees have helped bridge the educational achievement gap, supported people through recovery from opioid addiction, honored veterans, provided transportation to our senior citizens, helped children and adults find housing and developed opportunities for all to serve and volunteer throughout the state.  Full Service Descriptions for Honorees
