Public Health AmeriCorps (PHA) Grant

Public Health AmeriCorps Program (Operational) Grants have two main goals:

  1. Help meet public health needs of local communities by providing needed capacity and support in state and local public health settings and advancing more equitable health outcomes for communities who are currently or historically underserved.

  2. Provide pathways to good, quality public health-related careers by providing exposure through onsite experience, training, and more, with a focus on recruiting AmeriCorps members who reflect the communities in which they will serve.

Only current Public Health AmeriCorps grantees, also known as PHA continuation applicants, are eligible to apply in response to this Request for Proposals.

Serve Wisconsin approves applications for submission to AmeriCorps, who determines which applicants are awarded Public Health AmeriCorps Program Grants in Wisconsin. The Request for Proposals for Public Health AmeriCorps Program Grants is currently accepting only continuation applications.
